An energy audit coming up? We can help.

Need to meet an audit obligation or understand where your operation can save energy? We review your situation and guide you through an energy audit under DIN EN 16247-1.

A report alone will not reduce your energy bill.

You need findings you can use in your business. We examine significant energy users, speak to the people responsible on site and assess which measures fit your operation technically and financially.

01

Understand your requirements

An assessment of audit obligations, scope and timing, taking account of your company and existing evidence.

02

Assess your savings opportunities

Suitable measures with transparent assumptions about implementation effort, energy savings and economic viability.

03

Document your findings

An audit report to support evidence requirements, internal decisions and the next planning steps.

Working together

A manageable path through your project.

01

Discuss your starting point

We clarify the purpose, sites and responsibilities. You receive a manageable list of the information we need.

02

Understand the data and operation

We analyse your data and visit relevant equipment. Your operating practices and experience inform our assessment.

03

Review the findings together

We explain the report and discuss which measures you would like to pursue next.

Your questions

Does our company need an energy audit?

Under the current German EDL-G, this depends particularly on non-SME status and possible exemptions. The threshold is at most 500,000 kWh (500 MWh), including exactly 500,000 kWh across all energy carriers. The relevant period is the last complete twelve-month billing period preceding the calendar year in which the audit would be due (Section 8(4) EDL-G). For affected non-SMEs, a simplified electronic declaration to BAFA replaces the audit and is due within two months after the applicable audit due date (Section 8c(1), sentences 3 and 4). It covers company details, consumption and energy costs by energy carrier. Separately, Section 8 EnEfG can require a management system above 7.5 GWh as a three-year average. We assess these matters alongside your company structure; a single consumption figure is not enough.

What information do we need to get started?

Energy invoices for all energy carriers, available load profiles, a site overview and any previous audit report or system evidence are useful. Missing documents should not delay the first conversation. We will identify what else is needed for your specific scope.

How much time will our team need?

This depends on the number and type of sites, the available data and your equipment. We usually need a regular contact and input from technical and administrative colleagues. We agree the data requirements, site visits and your team's involvement before you commission the work.

Legal sources checked on 13 October 2026. Bill 21/8027 received its first reading on 24 September and a public committee hearing on 5 October 2026. Proposed consumption thresholds do not replace current obligations. Your company's position requires an individual assessment.
